Kennett Grove Middle School Hockey Open House

 

Interested in playing Middle School hockey and attend either Kennett or Avon Grove schools?  Then come join us for an open house to sign up and/or learn more about the program.

When: Thursday, May 20^th    OR    When: Sunday, May 23^th    

Time: 7:00 – 8:00 pm                        Time: 3:30 – 4:30 pm

        Where: The Pond Ice Arena (Party Room), Newark DE

 Anyone going into 5^th through 8^th grade (any level of experience/boys and girls) are eligible to play.  There is an opportunity for players outside of the Kennett/Avon Grove districts to play as long as their school does not have a comparable ice hockey team. 

 

·        Our season begins mid-September and goes through mid-March

·        All practices are held at The Pond

·        All games are played at Ice Line in West Chester

·        There is a 16 game schedule concluding with play-offs in March

·        All players must be USA hockey registered prior to the start of the season

 

We are also looking for a few good coaches.  At a minimum, Level 1 USA Hockey certification is required.

Please note the following league rule:  If you attend one of the below schools, you are not eligible to play for the Kennett Grove team.

ANY STUDENT WHO ATTENDS ONE OF THE BELOW LISTED SCHOOLS MUST PLAY FOR SHANAHAN.

Shanahan Approved feeder schools: St. Agnes, Assumption BVM, St. Basil, Coatesville Catholic/Pope John Paul II, Holy Family, St. Joseph, St. Max, St. Monica, St. Norbert's, Notre Dame Academy, Sacred Heart -Oxford, St. Elizabeth, St. Patrick's (Kennett & Malvern), St. Peter & Paul, St. Phillip & James, St. Simon & Jude, St. Thomas, and Villa Maria Academy.
